This is the fast and easy method that I’ve discovered to shoot and create new videos for my studio website and online training videos. You can actually watch a video of me going through what new camera I recommend for the clearest picture and audio quality (all the research has been done for you). Check it out now ->

Check out the video I shot for S3 members below that demystifies the ease at which you can shoot video and get it onto the web:

Also, here are the products I talked about in the video:

(I bought all of them on www.Amazon.com)

Resources:

Mino Flip Video

Kodak Zi8 HD Compact Camera (the new one I recommend!)

Audio Technica Omnidirectional Microphone (attaches to Kodak camera)

I hope you enjoyed this Private S3 Resource!

Nevermind… I googled it: AUDIO-TECHNICA ATR3350 Microphone / for KODAK Zi8 Pocket and PLAYTOUCH Video Cameras – (Unless there is a different one)

Is there anyway you can give me the link for microphone? When I search for it on amazon, I get all bunch of models and I don’t know which one to get…

What video editing software are you guys using for PC?? Does the Kodak have a tripod attachment??

    • Hi Ben,

I edit on a MAC, but you can use the built in video software on a PC to edit. Or, sometimes if I shoot with a flipcam I will just use the flip software that comes with the camera to edit those videos.

And yes, the Kodak does come with a Tripod opening at the bottom of the camera… you would just need to purchase a tripod.

I was just checking to see if anyone had used a good wireless mic with the kodak camera. If so please pass on the info because I am in the market for one and would appreciate some of your feedback

    • Hi Jeff,

I just used the “AUDIO TECHNICA PRO88W-R35 Microphone” and they worked great! I was 30 feet away from the receiver and it worked fine. I did notice a little “feedback – buzzing” when I wasn’t speaking, but for just over $100 for a wireless mic you have to expect a little imperfection. So far, I highly recommend it.

I’m having a hard time finding the kodak that is not on backorder…help!

    • Hi Tina,

I used Amazon to buy mine, but you could always try eBay, Nextag, or another locater…

      Good luck!

  • Thanks Raymond!

Also, Jeff I purchased the wireless Audiotechnica mic and will let you know if it works as well as the one with the 20′ cord… which works great!

  • Raymond Hinish

Hey guys, I bought the audio-technica Pro88w/t wireless mic which I bought from Amazon, it works great! I also have been using the Kodak Zi8, absolutely fantastic!

  • Jeff Paluseo

I was wondering if you have tried a wireless mic yet and if so what is the name? Also are you currently working with a mic on the Kodak camera? Please let me know I am very interested.

Hi Stephen, in your video you mention video hosting. Who do you recommend? Thanks.

    • Hi Robert,

I wrote a whole post on this so I hope it answers your question!

  • James Young

Stephen, does Kodak camera come with a remote so you can turn it on, off at any point?

    • Hi James,

To my knowledge it does not come with one… although that would be nice.

I just edit out the 1st few seconds and last frame or two…
